China Glaze "Deviantly Daring"

My nail polish collection at the current moment is basically "let's put all the bottles in these bins and we'll fix it later" since moving back home. So in turn that pretty much translate to using the option of just searching through a bin and picking out a random bottle of nail polish! Last week it turned out to be "Deviantly Daring" by China Glaze which I was pleasantly content with. It's been a while since I've used this color and since I couldn't find the nail polish I had in mind, I went with it. I love that this color looks green in some light and at some angles and blue at others. Color switching nail polishes like this one make me smile because you never know what color you're going to get when you look down! I'm also surprised at how well, in my opinion, my new Samsung Galaxy S5 takes photos compared to the ones my Note 2 used to take. I sadly no longer have a fancy camera to use and I haven't looked into getting one of my own just yet, so bare with me! I figured outside in the sun would be a good light to look at this polish so I took the photo shoot out onto the backyard deck.

The photos make the nail polish look more blue but I would say it's a little more green in real life but I took a photo in and out of the sun while I was out.

Here's an angled look outside in the sun where it looks more blue than green

This is outside but in the shade provided by the house

This is outside and in the sun

I do have a video that I would love to post but I really have no idea on how to put videos up here! So it'll be on my Instagram (@kristinalynn15) page! Also I'd love to hear any feedback that you guys might have on my blog, whether it's things you'd want to see more of or less of, or any types of suggestions/comments you might have. Leave them below I'd love to read them!

Neve by Zoya

Blue, blue, blue. Can't help but always have a blue nail polish on every other week because it's one of my favorite colors (duh). It's been a while since I've gotten a new post so let's get to work and start on some nail photos! "Neve" by Zoya is a great blue color that is becoming one of my favorites, it just has something about it that grabs me. It's one of those colors that isn't too dark and not too light but seems to be more in the middle. It goes one nicely and I'm always amazed to see what a difference there is between one coat and two coats.

China Glaze: So Blue Without You

My favorite is blue which I do believe I've highly stated that before; I just can't help it! When I'm strolling through my drawers full of nail polish for some reason I usually gravitate towards the blues, purples, and pinks. This time I reached for China Glaze "So Blue Without You" since as I grabbed it I noticed that it's been quite a long while since I've used this one. It's a blue that is bright, yes, but I also like that it has a little shimmer quality to it. It reminds me of a sky blue with some metallic/shimmer thrown in there to make it different from a regular sky blue color.

Zoya: Hazel

This week has been a long one with having Monday off for Memorial Day, anybody else feel like this week was never going to end? Thankfully the weekends are for relaxing and hanging out before going back to the good ole grind Monday morning. Sunday is a trip to the Museum of Science and Industry which will be a long day, so here's a post for the weekend! One of the things I love to do, besides my nails of course, is to read books and I realized this after the fact, but this weekend's nail polish "Hazel" from Zoya fits perfectly for the upcoming Friday movie, The Fault In Our Stars.

"Hazel" is a lighter metallic blue along with some gold flakes thrown in there. I love the chrome type of feel that this nail polish has. Some of the time it also looks a little bit like it has some holographic effects to it as well. It's been a while since I've used this color and although the polish does seem to get a smidge thicker when you start doing the second coat, it's still a great color. I also the like the fact that the name is Hazel which is one of the main characters in a great book-to-movie adaptation which comes on June 6th! If you'd like to know what the heck I'm talking about, you can go to Amazon or Barnes and Nobles to purchase the book :)

I Love Nail Polish: Part 2

Sometimes technology and me aren't that great of  friends which leads to it not wanting to work with me and making blogging a little more difficult for me. Great stuff don't you think? Anyways I'm splitting my first I Love Nail Polish post into two different parts so thankfully my order contained four different polishes (phew!). Up next on my list is Sweet Serenade which is also in the purple/blue category and if you couldn't tell by now, I'm basically obsessed with pink, purple, and blue. The photos that I personally took don't capture the beauty of this nail polish but try it out in real life and you'll understand why it's a polish I love! Comparing the real life color to the color that the photos portray on the I Love Nail Polish website, to me it's a little bit darker in real life but still a fabulous color!

Last but not least is Absolute Zero which to my surprise at the time was included in my order for free! I love free things (for the most part) an this one was a great item to be added to my already amazing order. I still feel like no matter what I do it's hard to capture the real beauty of the nail polishes and maybe I just need a better camera. Absolute Zero to me is like a dark blue with shimmer in it and once you get in the sunlight, oh boy do you see that shimmer!

Overall my first experiences with these four nail polishes from I Love Nail Polish was a positive and great one! I believe that the only "issue" that I noticed when I was first using these was that when I went to do my second coat, the polish seemed to get just a little thick and goopy but it wasn't nothing too serious. I also recommend doing two coats with these since one in general is never enough but with two you get the full effect of how the nail polish is suppose to be. Since this fall preorder I have also ordered three more colors and soon Post 3 will be up with those! Enjoy guys!

Zoya Nail Polish Haul

About a week and a half ago I was doing my usual scanning on Instagram when I came across a picture one of the accounts I follow posted: Zoya nail polish promo! I find these types of things and then BAM! I'm off searching the websites and figuring out what I'm going to purchase. This time I ended up purchasing 6 new Zoya nail polishes, which is my highest amount in a very long while, and once I get the time I'll be doing a nice big swatch fest of them all! For now I'll just share the ones that I purchased :) I'll be using the photos that are posted on each page from Zoya’s website since they've got the photos down already.

The first color that I decided to get was "Areetha" which is a fabulous metallic lilac color and I just knew I had to get it. I'm pretty sure it matches the dress that I wore (very shortly) for my Senior Prom 5 years ago….man that makes me feel a little old. Either way I love this color.

The second nail polish I grabbed was “Indigo” which is a darker blue with some holographic glitter and it reminds me of the night sky from the photos online. I love the color blue and the photos I saw we’re definitely sellers for me. The bottle in real life though is darker than what it shown but I still love the color.

The next nail polish I got was "Rihana" which is a darker shade and the color reminds me of a dark red wine with a little purple mixed into it. I love having dark red type shades like this because it makes me feel a little more elegant and fancy.

Next up is "Anaka" which for one, has a unique name, and two, who doesn't love having a bright pink/fuschia color on their nails? I always seem to tend to go more towards blues, purples, and pinks, and this falls into that category! Which brings me to my next nail polish.

"Aurora" is a fabulous purple color with holographic scattered in it and my oh my, it's beautiful. I remember when it first came out and everybody seemed to have picked it up besides, of course, me. Then I realized how brilliant it was and now I've finally got it in my grasp! Muahaha. Evil laugh done.

Last but not least is "Noel" is more of a shade darker than a sky blue but it's metallic and it just looks kind of heavenly! Like I previously stated, I love blues and this totally falls into the blue category and I just had to make it part of my collection.
