"Damsel" by JulieG and "Experimental Rocket" by Varnish Vixen

I love getting my Ipsy bags every month especially when they come with a new bottle of nail polish because..I love nail polish right? In my April bag I got this bottle of JulieG nail polish which I've never heard of before but I was really surprised at how thick and well it goes on and covers. I got a nice shad of pink that I really liked and of course I decided to try it out rather than sift through my unsorted collection to find a color I wanted to try. Since I haven't really done anything fancy or somewhat different than just plain nails, I threw some "Experiemental Rocket" from Varnish Vixen on my accent nail. I know I've posted about Experimental Rocket before which I had gotten on Etsy a while back and I sadly don't believe that the store is open/around on Etsy anymore. This makes me extremely sad because I love the color.

I'd also like to point out that it was kind of hard to really capture the in real life (IRL) color and hopefully I can work on that! I retook my original photos a day or so later since the weather decided to not be raining and all that along with some Photoshop retouching so thankfully I was able to make it look less pink purple and more pink. Oh and that's right! I decided to add some nice silver rhinestones (oh how I love me some bling!) on my accent nail and I think it adds a little flare.

The JulieG nail polish went on really well and I'm pretty sure that I could have only used one coat but I always like to do 2 coats just in case. It went on really smoothly covering all parts of my nail and added with a top coat, it just looked even more slick and smooth. I was really impressed with this nail polish especially coming from a brand that I haven't heard of before. This is one that I would definitely recommend to others to try although I'm not exactly sure how much a bottle costs in a store.

Sorry this was, obviously, taken a little shaky. My bad!

wHet Nail Polish: "Facetious"

In my July Ipsy bag for this month I received yet another nail polish (how exciting right?) and this time it was from wHet nail polish. I've never heard of this brand but that didn't mean I was going to let it go untried! Since I love getting new nail polish and was in need of a new mani, I picked up this one and put it on. The next morning I realized that on the box it says "7 day no chip" so I thought to myself, I SHALL TAKE THE CHALLENGE! And here I am writing a post about it and testing to see if the nail polish really doesn't chip in 7 days. Since it's Sunday, and I'm 2 days late on my post (Oops), I'm starting Day 3 of having the nail polish on. So far I've only noticed normal tip wear since I work with a bunch of paper at work and just a very tiny piece missing on my right middle finger. That very tiny missing piece, however, I do believe could be from my nail just being crappy and not in the best shape. I do love the color since it's blue and we all know I love blue. When putting it on I noticed that it seems more like a jelly-based nail polish so I tried to do thicker layers than I usually do. In the bottle it looks like a lighter blue than it comes out but either way I love the color.

May Ipsy Bag: Balanced Guru

One of the items that I have been using for the past week and a half or so from my May Ipsy Bag has been the No Frizz hair oil from Balanced Guru. I was unsure about the product when I first received it since it's organic and the first smell I wasn't exactly fond of it. I decided to try it out anyways after I had showered and washed my hair since my hair tends to frizz, and was pretty impressed by it. I usually brush my hair out with my Wet Brush (which is awesome by the way) and I put a few drops of the hair oil into my hands, rubbed it into my hair, and was surprised to see that it seemed to feel lighter and less crazy. After letting my hair air dry I noticed such a different between how my hair usually is without the product and then after. My hair is significantly less frizzy especially when I air dry it and I'm so impressed with this that I'll probably buy some more of it when I run out of it.
